Careeb ("Careeb.com, "us", "we", "the website") located at http://www.careeb.com respects the privacy of its users. This privacy policy is intended to inform you of our policies and practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.

Access to our services, account creation and your personal information
You need to have a Careeb account to login and use our services.
Creation of a Careeb account consists of the following steps:

• An aquaintance of yours who is already a registered Careeb user adds you to his/her contacts list through one of the 6 link types.
• Your aquaintance is asked to provide your name, gender and email address.
• Your profile is created with the information your aquaintance provided.
• You receive an email from Careeb informing you that your profile has been created by that person and you will be given a randomly generated string as a password.
• The news that you have been added to your aquaintance's contacts list is notified to everyone in the Network you and your aquaintance belong to and to your aquaintance's other contacts who are linked to him/her through link type(s) that differ with the link type between you and your aquaintance, through "Network News" and a link to your profile is provided so that the informed users can visit your profile.
• You can login to Careeb using your email address as username and the string provided in the email as the password and fill up your profile, change your password, view profiles of and communicate with people in your Networks etc. You can also delete your Careeb account by visiting the Settings section.

How we use your personal information
The personal information we collect about you apart from that collected during the account creation process is what you willfully provide in your profile, viz. your profile picture, your birthday, home town, current city of residence, favorites etc.
We may use this information to better serve you. Eg: We may use your birthday to send a reminder to your contacts, show you the list of profiles of people who have similar likes, dislikes, location, preferences etc. as you.
We may also use information about you collected through log files which includes your IP address, browser type, operating system. We use this information in aggregate to determine the composition of our user base and the load on our servers.

Privacy settings you can control
In the settings section you have the following choices:

• Restrict or turn off all communications from us to your email.
• Choose if only your contacts or your contacts and people in your network(s) or anyone on Careeb can see your profile picture.

Disclosure of your personal information
We do not trade, rent or share your personal information with third parties without your express written consent.

Updates
As part of the Terms of Service this privacy policy is subject to ocassional amendment.
