The fact that people are linked to eachother through various types of links rather than 'Friends' is the crux of Careeb. This perspective of building a social network can be better understood through 'Link Types' and 'Networks' - the fundamental concepts of Careeb.
Thus resulting in a graph strucutre whose edges have different labels
In more technical terms a Network can be defined as below:
Subgraph such that it contains maximum number of vertices possible such that all the edges have same label
Consider a person 'Sam'. Sam's College Friends Network comprises of the following people:
Sam,
Sam's college friends,
Sam's college friends' college friends
Sam's college friends' college friends' college friends,
.
.
.
and so on.
At Careeb we identify such Networks as communities and build tools for Network members to discover people already connected to them through their contacts in their Network, communicate with them and share information with people in the Network.
Link Types
Careeb is a platform where people can link to eachother such that the links represent real world relationships between them. In the real world people are linked through various types of relationships like 'School Friends', 'Work Friends' and so on. On Careeb we let people link to eachother through the 6 link types given below:- School Friends
- College Friends

- Just Friends
Thus resulting in a graph strucutre whose edges have different labels
Networks
